Bat Hat Pictures

Last week we completed a unit on bats, exploring the subject through both fiction and nonfiction texts and through various types of media.  We learned bat vocabulary words such as echolocation, pup, mammal, nursery, colony, and nocturnal.  We also explored the life cycle of a bat and discussed the similarities and differences between bats and birds.  Be sure to ask your child about what they've learned!  We made "bat hats" on Friday to celebrate our learning--here are a couple of pictures!
